Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Ok, so what is it exactly? I'm confused !
A: You know how sometimes people say, "there is just nothing to do in Bridgewater!" well... we remedy that. All in all the "Art Happening Bridgewater" is a place for people of all ages to hang out, meet new people, and have a place to go and be creative. There are art supplies there if you want to create something, guitar if you want to play or learn, we want people to come in and use this space for a place to be themselves. And it's all free :)
Q: When you say 'all ages' you really mean like... everyone?
A: Yes, everyone. Families, children, teens, young-adults, middle-agers, seniors, everyone. This is a truly intergenerational space. We do not serve alcohol or have a liquor license which allows those under the age of 19 to partake in any evening events.
Q: But I'm not an 'artist' I know nothing about 'art'!
A: Ouuu, really? That's.... O.K! Really! You don't need to know anything about art or have any previous knowledge or experience! That's totally fine. This space is not an gathering space for professional artists but for everyone which includes those people who are new to art as well as those who consider themselves Artists. Everyone is welcome :)
Q : When you say free, you mean FREE Free?
A: Yep that's what we said! Donations very welcome to help support us :)
Q: So if everything is free how do you pay for your rent and stuff?
A: We are paying for the space by receiving donations from visitors, rentals, birthday parties, sponsors and grants. We are also relying on volunteers at this time to help keep our costs low. There is a lovely box at the entrance that you can drop some change/bills in. If you enjoyed your stay feel free to donate.
